Vantage Hall was privileged to host a lecture demonstration by a leading exponent of Bharatanatyam Ms.Rama Vaidyanathan under the aegis of SPIC MACAY. Ms. Rama Vaidyanathan has trained under Yamini Krishnamurthy , the doyen of classical Indian dance and Guru Saroja Vaidyanathan while evolving her own special understanding of this dance style.
She was accompanied by her versatile daughter Dakshini .Other artists were Sumod Sridhar on the mridangam, K. Venkateswaran (vocal), Rajat Prasanna on the flute and Shubamani .
For our girls it was an amazingly beautiful performance as she demonstrated each mudra and its bhava .
