A special assembly was held by the students of Rose Pink house today to mark the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Our good wishes to all on the special occasion.

Our teachers attended a workshop at DPS Dehradun called the HUB OF LEARNING.

Ms. Sarita Bhadwar of AFS held a session for students on what they can do to effect change in our environment and achieve sustainable goals – an image of our students deeply engaged in the workshop.

On the 6th of November our students participated in “Anugoonj “held by DPS, Dehrqadun. As is usual Inter school events generate a great deal of excitement. Our students performed exceedingly well in a number of very challenging events… Haasya kavita in which Pragna Bagchi stood first, another first position wherein our girls rendered a dramatised “The Ballad of Sir Pertab Singh” by Sir Henry Newbolt to a big round of applause by the audience. The Vantage team also gave a presentation on the Journey of Language which traced the evolution of the English Language. The third position was awarded for the Nukkad Natak which conveyed a strong message on the empowerment of the girl child. Gauri Sharma gave a solo performance and enthralled the audience with her singing.

Amid much excitement and loud cheering we held the Inter House Basketball Competition 4th Nov- 6th Nov 2019.

Congratulations to the winning house and well done to all the teams for playing in the true spirit of the game.

Our girls visited Paonta Sahib Gurudwara a day after Diwali to offer prayers and do seva as per the tradition and painted our rear wall in the hostel – a wonderful way to spend their leisure time!

Culturally the potter working with clay has been given almost a spiritual dimension – the wheel conveys the evolution of human civilization itself – and working with clay to give shape and then see it fired is an art. Our young girls have this wonderful opportunity to take to the potter’s wheel and learn how a kiln functions. We share an image of our students engaged in this activity by side of the natural brook that runs through our campus.

The Gold Rush ! The Vantage Hall Roller skating team came away with a rich haul of medals at the 1st Uttarakhand State Roller skating Championship 2019 held on the 20th of October at the DAV Public School, Dehradun.

Divyani Jhakwal, Gayatri Negi won gold medals in the Individual event whereas the team for Roll Ball won the Gold beating Brightland School 3-0.

In the Roller Hockey event our Vantage team won the Gold again beating Oakgrove School 2-1.

The entire Vantage family wishes our girls and coach for consistently doing amazingly over these five years! Congratulations to our team once again for this richly deserved win!

Manya Mehra &Ananya Saini blaze their way to Gold & Silver!!
Manya Mehra sprinted to win the Gold medal in a 100 mtrs (under 16) run at the Dehradun District Athletic Meet 2019 held at the RIMC. She won the silver in the 200 mtrs (under 16 category ) event. Ananya Saini won the tough 800mtrs.run with a bronze medal. Vantage Hall is so very proud of our two young athletes as they stood on the victory stand and wear their medals so richly earned. Khushi Jain and Aarushi Kamboj too put in their effort to make a mark in the Long Jump event. Way to go girls!! Congratulations team Vantage!

SPIC MACAY: A completely delightful performance of Manipuri Dance held us transfixed yesterday. The sheer beauty, grace, expression and control was something that mesmerized the entire audience. The troupe was lead by Shri Sinam Basu Singh, S. Anita Devi, Luxmi Devi, S. (dancers) Namdeshwari Devi, ( singer) R. K. Upendra Singh (drummer)
We were so fortunate to have such accomplished artists in our midst to share the culture of our north eastern state of India.

Shri Basu explained the dance form, its origin and how the cultural and religious beliefs have intertwined to give this dance form its sublime character.
